Under the auspices of UNESCO, the 13th International Music Festival "Sharq Taronalari" will be held on August 25-30 in the ancient and unique city of Samarkand, known as the "Beauty of the Earth."
"Sharq Taronalari" is one of the biggest festivals in Central Asia. The main purpose of the festival is to share the achievements in national music with the general public, preserve and develop the culture and traditions of nations, support talented young people in music and singing, and promote international creative relations, peace, friendship, and mutual tolerance.
Musical groups and performers from 31 countries attended the first "Sharq Taronalari" International Music Festival in 1997. The number of participating countries reached 75 at the 12th festival held in 2019.
Invitations have been sent to more than 100 countries to participate in the 13th International Music Festival "Sharq Taronalari," scheduled for August 25-30, 2024.
Applications for participation in the festival have started coming in from various countries, including Japan, Indonesia, Poland, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Italy, and several other East Asian nations.
